The cult piece

Making headlines since they were first spotted at Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello: in soft leather, slightly slouchy, 80s-style, and totally covered with fine crystals. The first reaction was “wow”, as the boots resonated with nostalgic girls but also disco-future lovers. Metallic, silver and sparkling designs also from Chanel, Marco de Vincenzo and Loewe.

Not only black boots…

Black boots take center stage this season alongside other colorways.

Lots of flame red boots (the statement hue for winter 2018): Fendi and Prada set the catwalk on fire with over-the-knee styles. Interesting orange rawhide proposals from Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton and Fenty Puma by Rihanna.
Check out also the milk white boots from Céline, Haider Ackermann and Dries van Noten.

Second skin vs. drawstring

Since Balenciaga relaunched sock boots, other second-skin styles were spotted at the show, like the fitted nude boots from Nina Ricci.
On the opposite side, wide fit and soft leather styles that can be adjusted with laces and drawstrings: wear them high or low with a simple gesture. You choose.

Textures

Python boots are a hot trend also for winter 2018, see Maison Margiela, Gucci and Balmain, to add a statement exotic vibe.
